Six Flags over Texas is keeping its continuous 60th season party going with the return of the Best of Texas festival. Running May 28 through August 8, the festival will highlight Texas culture and what makes the state great.
Happenings throughout the event include:
- The Diamond Jubilee Jazz Band on the carousel stage
- All-new live shows including Deep in the Heart in the Southern Palace theater, featuring country songs with Texas roots
- Specialty foods throughout from outside vendors
- Dancing fountain show in the Star Mall
- 45 of the SFoT’s rides and attractions
Event Highlights
The Oil Derrick will be the launch point for Memorial Day weekend fireworks (Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30 at 10pm).
Best of Texas Livestock will take place June 6 and 7, with various livestock animals shown (including a miniature longhorn).
The Best of Texas Food and Beer Festival will also be ongoing weekends through July 4.
