The park's current Old South & France section consists of what used to originally be the France and Confederacy sections. Now one of the smallest areas in the park, Old South & France is home to a single ride—Runaway Mountain. For a while, Roaring Rapids' entrance was located in the Old South and France with the name "LaSalle's River Rapids" and French theming (a throwback to LaSalle's River), but the water ride's entrance has since been relocated to the Tower section.

Old South & France is home to several dining locations, shops, and the Southern Palace theater — the park's premier entertainment venue.
