Six Flags over Texas unveiled its new ride for 2019 today — Lone Star Revolution, the largest “loop coaster” ride in the world. Essentially a bigger version of the “Fireball” loop ride commonly found at carnivals and fairs, Lone Star Revolution will spin riders around a considerably larger 100-foot loop. Riders will sit in unique trains that have riders facing each other.
Nearby Six Flags Fiesta Texas has a similar ride (Fireball) that stands at 58 feet.
Six Flags over Texas is also claiming this to be the park’s 14th coaster, though the idea of classifying a Larson Fire Ball/Superloop as a coaster is a hotly-debated topic in the theme park community.
