High-Flying Dog Stunt Show Headed to SFOT

Six Flags Over Texas’ expanded entertainment lineup for its 65th season continues with a high-energy dog show. The Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience will debut in the newly-renovated Southern Palace Theater, running weekends from April 3 through May 3.

This interactive, family-friendly show features rescue and shelter dogs from across the country performing stunts, Frisbee tricks, dance routines, athletic feats, and more.

The show coincides with National Canine Fitness Month (April 1-30), and not only advocates for canine health and wellness, but also for pet adoption.

Fun Facts about Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience:

  • Chris Perondi began his stunt dog experience in 1999 with his four stars: Extreme Pepper, Soaring Sierra, Jumping Jaz and Air Ripley
  • Today, across four touring units, the troupe performs more than 750 shows annually across the United States
  • One crowd favorite trick from the show is a Pawstand, which is a balancing trick where the dog performs a handstand on Chris’ hand
  • The Oldest pup in the team is Vinny Valentino. He has been seen across the nation, on book covers and even live TV
  • The dog’s favorite treats are Lucy Pet Hip to be Square treats. The crew goes through about a dozen bags a month.
  • The show has a variety of dog breeds from Border Collies to Aussies, Jack Russell Terriers to Doodles and even a Belgian Malinois.
  • Chris and Suhey have 11 dogs in their pack with the smallest being a 6-pound chihuahua and the biggest a 65-pound Bernedoodle. The chihuahua is feisty and rules the house.
