After the minor hysteria the park caused announcing September 11th would be the ‘last time to ride Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast’, the park has since announced on social media what the ride’s future holds. And it looks a lot like its past.

As rumors suggested, the park will indeed be reversing the trains back to their original orientation, meaning riders will return to a forward-facing launch. An opening date was not included with the announcement.

Six Flags over Texas initially reversed Mr. Freeze’s trains back in 2012 and re-named the ride to Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast.

The return to the original configuration will be accompanied by the ride’s original name being brought back (along with an updated logo).

In other ride name news, there is still no word on when “New Texas Giant” will no longer be new.
