Texas Arena

Located in Tower section, the Texas Arena is a large open-air theater that was long used for stunt shows, including the Batman Stunt Show and later a Texas-themed cowboy stunt show in the 1990s. Large sets, vehicles (or horses), ziplines, and pyrotechnics made shows in the Texas Arena some of the most technically complex and memorable performances in the park.

Unfortunately the Texas Arena has long sat unused except during Fright Fest when the large open space accommodates haunted houses. The stunt shows were likely discontinued as a cost savings and each year it's increasingly unlikely that the park will bring live shows back to the aging arena.

I was at six flags over Texas on August 1st. 2026 and I noticed some construction going on up there look like they was building some kind of a stage and other buildings were up there. Just wanted to know is this for frightfest?
