Every March, Six Flags over Texas celebrates Spring Break with a week of high-energy vibes and special offerings.
Spring Break 2024 is set to feature:
- The return of Live and Local, offering local musicians the chance to perform live music from the Silver Star Carousel stage.
- Specialty food and beverage offerings with a tropical twist at eight dining locations throughout the park.
- Spring Break photo ops
- And of course all the regular thrills and attractions from the park’s extensive collection.
For a separate charge, guests can experience Scream Break by visiting a haunted tropical island resort perpetually stuck in the 1960s.
Be aware that Six Flags’ Spring Break coincides with several local school district’s spring break holidays and can draw some of the heaviest crowds of the year. Check out our Flash Pass page for information on how to skip the queue lines.
Shock Wave 50 Million Riders
The classic Shock Wave will celebrate an amazing 50 million riders with a small ceremony and ribbon cutting on March 9 at 11 am. Riders on the first train will receive prizes and memorabilia and guests can win free tickets by answering trivia from 11am to 12pm.
Scream Break is newly imagined for 2024, themed to a “vintage haunt” where attendees travel to an island resort stuck in the 1960s. Mystical forces have trapped the residents in a time loop, endlessly forced to relive their last moments before a hurricane strike.
Scream Break debuted as a separate late-night event at Spring Break 2023, though with a similar horror theme as Fright Fest. Scream Break 2024 aims to distinguish itself from that version of horror with a psychedelic vibe, tropical theme, and spring-appropriate backstory.
Scream Break is a ticketed event requiring wristband access with admission separate from park admission.
Where Is It?
Scream Break takes place in the Texas section of the park.
Whats it Cost?
General admission is $19.99. Admission with express entry to haunted attractions is $24.99. Prices accurate as of 3/6/24, check official site for details.
