The David Blackburn Southern Palace Theater is Six Flags over Texas’ largest indoor theater, not to mention one of the oldest entertainment venues in the park. Originally an open-air amphitheater, the Southern Palace was converted into an indoor, 950-seat theater for the 1968 season where it has entertained guests in the Old South & France section since.

The theater was named after David T Blackburn, a long-time producer and creator of shows throughout Six Flags history.

Some of the park’s most elaborate musical and theater productions take place in Southern Palace, where its air conditioning is always appreciated during the summer months.
