Boomtown Area
Boomtown was the first themed area added to Six Flags over Texas after the original six themed areas. Created in 1963, the Boomtown area is themed after a Texas oil drilling town, complete with authentic rigging equipment and other theming from the 1900s scattered throughout.
Boomtown is home to two roller coasters, the Mine Train and Mini Mine Train, as well as the Gunslinger swing ride and the Boomtown Depot—one of the two stops on the Six Flags Railroad.
Featuring a midway of skill games, Boomtown also houses a large open-air bar where an arcade previously existed.
