Brief updates and happenings around Six Flags over Texas

Dive Coaster Track Begins to Arrive

Track for Six Flags over Texas’ New for 2026 Dive Coaster has started to arrive, being staged in an area blocked off in the parking lot.

Photos of the track show a brown and tan color scheme leading to speculation of the ride’s names and theme.

Recent Local News Stories

Multiple local news agencies (1, 2, 3) are inexplicably reporting that Six Flags over Texas “is going cashless,” something that happened nearly 5 years ago during Covid and has been a well-established reality throughout the park ever since. The only actual new news is that the park appears to be permanently bringing back the chaperone policy—which was initially introduced during Fright Fest 2024—per a recent social media post.

New Height Requirements

The park has posted new height requirements for both the Mine Train and Judge Roy Scream roller coasters, increasing their 42 inch requirement to 48 inches. The change (which affects several other rides throughout Six Flags parks) is likely related to insurance but will surely put some families in an awkward position if their child was previously able to ride but no longer can. Our ride listing is an easy way to view all ride height requirements.

Titan Reopening for Spring Break

Titan’s massive repainting job is not yet complete, but the park will be reportedly pausing the project to let it reopen for Spring Break crowds. The ride’s transformation to a red, white, and blue color scheme (in honor of the Texas flag) is expected to be complete in April.

Legacy membership owners have been informed of changes and cost increases. Legacy Gold Plus members are increasing to $11.99/month. Platinum memberships are going away entirely, converting members to Diamond at $14.99. Diamond is increasing to $18.99, while Diamond Elite is increasing to $23.99.
