Cocina Abuela was originally announced to open in 2026 within the reimagined Spain area alongside Tormenta Rampaging Run, becoming the park’s largest restaurant and filling the air with aromas of Spanish and Latin American cuisine.

However as of October 2026, there is still no progress on the restaurant, nor has the park has made no mention of it in recent months, leading to speculation that the project has been cancelled, or at a bare minimum, pushed back to 2027 or beyond.
