Six Flags over Texas continues to make rapid progress on the new-for-2017 roller coaster The Joker. With footers complete, supports and portions of the lift hill have gone vertical. The park also posted photos of cars arriving.

The quick construction of the ride fuels speculation that the ride could open along with the park in March rather than the usual Memorial Day debut. That means the park would need to complete construction and testing in essentially 2 and 1/2 months, an ambitious but likely not impossible situation.

Guide to SFoT will continue to post The Joker construction updates until its opening — whenever that may be.
