Six Flags over Texas’ New for 2026 coaster Tormenta Rampaging Run just achieved a key milestone by installing the first pieces of track.

The park broke the news on social media on October 7, 2025:

One of the first two pieces installed was the track piece previously on display, which had been signed by guests that attended the Tormenta Rampaging Run announcement.

We took these images October 4 during our last visit to the park as we checked out Fall daytime events—just a few days before crews hoisted the track pieces into place.

Views of the parking lot show additional footers being prepared, while the area near the station has track staged and ready to be lifted.

Across the street, the park has been staging the slow but steady arrival of track and support pieces. This high-res panorama shows the latest array:

And finally, we saw the now-absent loading structure around Conquistador, with a smaller crane sitting near the former ride’s loading structure. The classic swinging ship ride’s removal was recently announced but not initially planned.

Tormenta’s progress will soon take on new heights with the park announcing the arrival of the massive crane that will erect the 309 ft lift hill and drop.
