Daily operations are underway at Six Flags over Texas marking the official start of the summer season. The park has unveiled its lineup of entertainment and events for the months ahead.

Summer Entertainment

Guests can look forward to the return of Texas Justice Stunt Show, running Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays on the recently-expanded Courthouse Stage in the Texas section of the park.

Additionally, Dueling Pianos will take center stage at Crazy Horse Saloon, playing six days a week from July 12-27. Talented musicians will interact with the crowd, take requests, and battle for musical supremacy.

For Independence Day, Six Flags will host Star-Spangled Nights, featuring a 12-minute fireworks show set to patriotic music on July 4 & 5 at 9 PM.

Notably missing from the summer lineup, however, are any indoor shows, particularly at Southern Palace. The park’s premier entertainment venue has historically served dual purposes, as both a theater and a valuable escape from the Texas heat. Another glaring absence is the Splash Water Parade, which had been previously announced for the season. These reductions in entertainment offerings likely reflect company-wide cost-cutting measures following Six Flags’ Q1 2025 $321 million operating loss in the wake of its merger with Cedar Fair.

Dining Updates

In other news, All-American Cafe is set to reopen on May 31, following a complete renovation. Guests can expect a brand-new menu featuring hand-breaded chicken tenders, double-patty burgers, Detroit-style pizza, and milkshakes.

Six Flags over Texas has also added several new Coca-Cola refresh stations throughout the park, featuring high-capacity hydration options.

Park Leadership Changes

Entertainment cutbacks aren’t the only major shifts happening across the Six Flags chain. As reported by various news outlets, the company is eliminating park president positions at all 27 parks, opting for regional leadership roles instead. This restructuring is part of a broader 10% workforce reduction, aimed at achieving $120 million in cost savings by the end of 2025.

Six Flags Over Texas will now be overseen by Jeffrey Siebert, the new regional president. Siebert has earned praise for his leadership at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, where he spearheaded numerous improvements and actively engaged with park enthusiasts.
