Conquistador will not return as part of the New for 2026 ride construction and reimagining of the Spain area, the park has confirmed in a social media post. Initially the ride was intended to remain, but it’s likely that further evaluations deemed it unfeasible for the elderly ride to continue operation.
Casa Magnetica Returning
Casa Magnetica will return this fall per recent social media posts from Regional Park President Jeffrey Siebert. The historic walk-through attraction has operated sporadically over recent years.

Southern Palace Renovation Underway
While the Southern Palace Theater may not be in use this summer, the park is using this time begin a multi-phase renovation of the historic theater. Guests have seen workers repairing and repainting the exterior and installing a new sign, while work inside the theater remains unknown to the public.
First Footer Completed for 2026 Coaster
A social media post from regional president Jeffrey Siebert confirms the New for 2026 ride’s first footer has been poured and completed. Track and supports continue to flow into the park being staged both on and off-site.
Dive Coaster Track Begins to Arrive
Track for Six Flags over Texas’ New for 2026 Dive Coaster has started to arrive, being staged in an area blocked off in the parking lot.
