Brief updates and happenings around Six Flags over TexasBubble Show Headed to Southern Palace
The Gazillion Bubbles Show will showcase the “beauty of bubble artistry and wonders of soapy science” in the Southern Palace Theater. The show runs March 14-22, and will presumably be the first show in the newly-redone theater that now features seats instead of bench-style seating.
Tormenta’s Vertical Loop Completed
Tormenta Rampaging Run just completed another record-breaking element. SFoT just topped off the 179-ft vertical loop bringing the massive new ride closer to completion.
First Details of Fast Lane Pricing Emerge
The first pricing details for the new Fast Lane priority queue system at SFoT have been released. The date-variable pricing released so far shows a range of $59-95 per day. All-season Fast Lane is also available for $299 while an all-season, all-park Fast Lane is listed at $999. Pricing is subject to change as the park continues refining attendance forecasts and anticipated Fast Lane demand.
Tormenta Gets Topped Out
Tormenta has officially been topped out, with the peak of the lift hill and beginning of the turn leading out to the first drop installed. By Friday, December 19, all track between the lift and first drop was installed, marking a milestone for the record-breaking dive coaster.
Mr. Freeze Changes Incoming?
A cryptic Instagram post from regional manager Jeffrey Siebert has fans trying to decipher its meaning, consisting of the word “FREEZE” in a block of ice and accompanying text of “Brace for a chill, a freeze is coming.”
UPDATE: Additional posts have confirmed this to (at least) mean a significant renovation of the queue line building.
New Six Flags CEO Named
Six Flags has appointed John Reilly as CEO, following the departure of Richard Zimmerman, who served in the role for four years. Reilly brings over 30 years of experience in the theme park industry, including leadership positions at SeaWorld, Palace Entertainment, and Parques Reunidos.
