The 2025 Fall event season has officially began at Six Flags over Texas, offering something for every family member whether it be Fright Fest, Oktoberfest, or Tricks and Treats. Between the events, specialty food offerings, and the standard collection of world-class rides, the Fall season is easily the best time of the year to visit the park to experience the most.
Fright Fest
Fright Fest 2025 is bigger than ever, with new haunted houses, scare zones, and shows under the park’s recent leadership changes. Fans of some of the biggest horror film franchises can step into the movies with an all-new haunted house based on The Strangers: Chapters 1 and 2, and returning houses based on The Conjuring Universe, SAW, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. EverSmile Industries, a new original haunt based on a creepy factory walk-through, joins the returning Terror at the Polynesian Palm haunted house.
Of course getting to the haunted houses requires braving the various scare zones, of which there are 3 new ones for Fright Fest 2025: Plague, The Last Harvest, and Forsaken Fairgrounds.
It wouldn’t be Fright Fest without entertainment, and this year’s event adds several new shows. The main attraction is Toxicity, a themed circus spectacular that takes place in the newly-renovated Southern Palace theater. Guests can get their live music fix at new shows Ghouling Pianos and Raging Inferno.
Fright Fest is a park-wide event that is included with park admission, though visiting haunted houses requires a Haunted Attractions Pass for an additional charge. Scare zones are free and accessible by all guests.

Oktoberfest
The returning Oktoberfest is a foodie’s paradise with a large selection of German-inspired cuisine, craft beer (both domestics and German imports), live entertainment, and fun activities. Taking place near the Boomtown Bar, the festivities kick off each day with a keg tapping ceremony. Try a feat of strength by participating in the Last Stein Standing endurance contest. Performances by the Oompah Delics keep the atmosphere authentically Bavarian.
Oktoberfest admission is included with park admission and takes place in area near Boomtown Bar, though food and beverages are purchased separately of course. Guests can typically buy sampler passes to enjoy several food items at a discount.
Tricks and Treats
Six Flags over Texas’ family-friendly daytime Halloween event has been renamed for 2025 from Kids Boo Fest to Tricks and Treats. Children can visit the Trick or Treat Trail and collect candy from friendly characters. Families can also explore a Hay Bale Maze and get crafty by painting pumpkins and masks.
Entertainment takes place on the “Candy Corn County Fair Main Stage” located just outside Six Flags Universe and includes the Skelebration Dance Party, New Orleans-inspired harmonies from the Spectral Sisters, and a Costume Contest.
Tricks and Treats is included with park admission, though additional fees apply for arts and crafts.
