Texas Arena

Located in Tower section, the Texas Arena is a large open-air theater that was long used for stunt shows, starting with the Batman Stunt Show in 1992 and later a wild west cowboy stunt show in the 2000s. Large sets, vehicles (or horses), ziplines, and pyrotechnics made shows in the Texas Arena some of the most technically complex and memorable performances in the park.

Unfortunately the Texas Arena has long sat dormant except during Fright Fest when the large open space accommodates multiple haunted houses. The stunt shows were likely discontinued as a cost savings and with each passing year it's increasingly unlikely that the park will bring live shows back to the aging arena.

I was at six flags over Texas on August 1st. 2026 and I noticed some construction going on up there look like they was building some kind of a stage and other buildings were up there. Just wanted to know is this for frightfest?

Any activity in Texas Arena at this time is almost certainly Fright Fest related, as that venue is really only used for haunted houses at this time.
